STRETCH YOUR WEEKEND
From Nov. 1, 2011 until May 24th, 2012 you may stretch your weekend by adding Thursday night or Sunday night. Pay the normal rate for the weekend and add on the additional night for 50% of the applicable rate. All 3 nights must be in the same room. Not available on holiday weekends or the week between Christmas and New Years.

CAROLINE'S PASSING
We are saddened to bring news that Caroline passed away on June 20th, 2011. Caroline retired on April 1st , 2011 and traveled to Portland, Oregon to stay with her son after her retirement. What was not known to all upon her retirement, was that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer earlier and chose to keep this information to herself. Caroline died peacefully with her sister, son and daughter-in-law at her side on Monday, June 20th. She will be missed dearly. There was no one more suited to be in Hospitality. She was such a special person who was able to share and nurture her varied interests with whoever she met. George and I were so fortunate that she chose the Lake Pointe Inn to be her home for 14 years. She will be remembered as a generous and sincere friend to all. We have established a Caroline A. McNiece Scholarship at the Garrett College, we thought it an appropriate tribute to her - due to her love for learning, travel and serving as a mentor to young people.
